Florian Urban

Florian Urban is Professor and Head of Architectural History and Urban Studies at the Mackintosh School of Architecture, Glasgow School of Art. He holds an MA in Urban Planning from UCLA (2001) and a Ph.D. in History and Theory of Architecture from MIT (2006). He is the author of Neo-historical East Berlin: Architecture and Urban Design in the German Democratic Republic 1970–1990 (Ashgate 2009) and Tower and Slab: Global Histories of Mass Housing (Routledge 2012). Murray Fraser

Murray Fraser is Professor of Architecture and Global Culture at the Bartlett School of Architecture at University College London, UK. Trained both as an architect and architectural historian, in 2018 he received the RIBA Annie Spink Award for Excellence in Architectural Education. He is also Chair of the Society of Architectural Historians of Great Britain. The new Banister Fletcher edition is the product of a five-year partnership project between the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), the University of London and Bloomsbury Publishing.
