Sustainable Wellness: The Convergence of Social and Ecological Well-being

Alexios Monopolis

Alexios Monopolis, a native of Corfu, Greece, and Baltimore, Maryland, is the Program Manager and Coach for “Harvard on the Move,” a community initiative created to promote physical and psychological wellness, and also serves as Harvard’s Resident Sustainability Tutor, based at Kirkland House. Alexios holds six degrees, from Dartmouth, Oxford, Harvard, and the University of California, including a PhD in Environmental Science and Management. His research examines the psychological dimensions of sustainability. Professionally, he has worked for the White House, the National Geographic Society, and as an international search and rescuer, photojournalist, and wilderness guide. Alexios, a former President of the Dartmouth Outing Club, focuses his spare time on outdoor adventure sports. Author affiliation details are correct at time of print publication.
