He has been a faculty member at Yale University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. John Ochsendorf is a structural engineer and the Class of 1942 Professor of Architecture and Civil and Environmental Engineering at the MIT, where he directs the Structural Design Lab and the Masonry Research Group.
