You Kyong Ahn received a Ph.D. in Architecture and Historic Preservation from Texas A&M University in 2007. Her area of interest is to continue the integrity of historic buildings and neighborhoods through the human-centered preservation method. She was an assistant professor and director of the pre-architecture program of Art and Art History Department at Calvin College during 2007–2015.
